Goitre in the District of Kangra (Punjab) *Abridged by Editor.

A questionnaire on goitre relating to the years 1937 and 1938 was sent to all the medical officers of the Kangra district to find out the incidence of this disease, the treatment adopted, particularly surgical, and to elicit other points likely to prove of interest to the profession. The following is the summary of the conclusions arrived at from their combined replies :? (i) Goitre is most common in Kulu valley, less in Hamirpur tehsil, next in Kangra and Hamirpur tehsils, while it is least prevalent in the tehsil of Dehra Gopipur, In Keylang and Spiti areas (ten to twenty thousand feet altitude) a few cases of goitre are seen.
